Cornea transplantation is a surgical procedure performed by ophthalmologists and eye specialists to remove the injured or diseased part of your cornea tissue and replace it with healthy tissue from a donor. The procedure is also called keratoplasty and can be performed on just a part of the cornea, or all cornea tissue could be replaced depending on the patient’s state.
